hi ken - clicked on today - while I see snow outside my office window - to catch a glimpse of the summer again. My goodness those beaches are gorgeous. Ken,Merry Christmas, mate.Try out the Coopers' beers in Oz. The brewery was set up in by a Yorkshireman who wanted a decent (i.e. non-lager) drink. I've never had them on draft over here but the bottled beers are nice enough. They also make the best beer kits.Kev

How do you manage time to right with all of the travel. I wish I could manage an email within a month of receiving one, but I think you've worked out I'm useles by now but sorry. Thailand was wonderful but that bloody mobile phone worked and so I was taking work calls, sad puppy I admit. The beaches were stunning (not quite as good as the Maldives) and the people very friendly. The elephant treking through the forest was fun, especially when I tried it bare back!!I'm glad you're enjoying yourself and i'll make sure I look in regulalry from now on. x

It sounds like you are having an amazing time, glad that you are updating us on where you are on your travels and i keep thinking about you and where you are in the world especially when I look out the window and see the rain, cold etc etc! Very very jealous!! Just also wanted to let you know that we have booked a date! It is a long way in advance so you will be back, that is if you decide to come back and not stay in some sunnier climate!! So keep Saturday April 23rd 2005 free! I sometimes can't get to the net so sorry if I am slow to respond.Zorbing just wasn't something that appealed that day and the off road driving Paul & I did that day was far more heart in mouth, never mind the white water rafting of the last couple of days. Still, you have to wonder at the business possibilities of bringing giant hamsterballs for people to the UK.....Will send back more photos as soon as I find a suitable Internet cafe. Most have deliberately limited setups and wiring up a camera & FTPing a stack of photos is not their normal trade.

Ken - Your samoan write up makes me realise how much I missed by spending most of the day in JT's. Sydney is great, friends live by bondi beach, so have been sunbathing and watching the rugby. Very hung over after watching the game at the Telstra stadium last night! E-mail me when you get into Sydney and if i am back there by early jan we can catch up over a beer and hopefully I can pick your brains on places to to go in the south island!

Ken, you're obviously having a fabulous time & the bus trip looked much better than my expectations. Really envy you the Samoan visit, god they've got some big rugby players!Have just returned from 2 weeks in Arizona visiting friends - still using the old airmiles. Did some serious shopping but also spent a few days in Sedona & the Grand Canyon. Amazed at the scale of it all but, approaching the wrinkly stage of the human life cycle, found the heights terrifying. You must be really missing the UK weather - 50f, very damp & very dark. I'm really glad the rugby 1/4 finals are over - being half Irish, half Welsh & born in England did not make for a pleasant family weekend.Take care, keep safe & have fun.

The bus trip was surprisingly good and is still a highlight of the trip. I'd also like to get back to Samoa and NZ is fun, if a little familiar feeling.Rugby final was a tense match to watch, especially in a bar filled with English fans and Aussies....

Try downloading your pix to cd and then you should be able to edit your photos in internet cafes... what camera do you have? If you haven't got the cd with you for downloading images, you can possibly get it from a website... let me know if you need me to email a bit of software!I plan to travel vicariously!!

I'm so jealous - I'm now back at TRW after my ''sabbatical''... You're doing a similar trip to us, but the other way. If you're interested in getting some tips (especially for the SE Asia bit) our website is www.lynettestravels.com.We had a brilliant Christmas and NY in Sydney - probably the best place to be at that time, but madly you may miss the cold on 25/12 - it doesn't seem right to be on the beach!!Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy... it's a grey old world back here in the UK.

Ahey! I finally made it on to your site. Good on yer son, glad to hear you're having a good time. Things are pretty quiet here in Solihull but we still have four walls mate so don't worry!! Looking at buying a crash damaged FZR400RR(Sp this time) and will try to renovate and sell as a complete race bike for a tidy profit. Anyway, sorry to see Scotland dumped out of the cup but we nearly followed them home(!) - we really need to pick up the pace if we are to progress. By the way, Man U beat us yesterday 2-1 (gutted) and Rossi signed a two year deal with Yamaha today, which is going to make for a top season next year.Take care man & I'll keep on the site for your updatesLaters manAd

...further to my previous message, Adam has also knocked his bedroom wall through to form an en suite. He is currently awaiting planning permission to have a roof-top garden and pool installed! I'll keep you posted.CheersAnthony
